Pakistani rishta · the Netherlands
Pakistani rishta in the Netherlands — verified and private.
For Dutch Pakistanis, students and expats: search verified profiles in the Netherlands, across Europe and in Pakistan, with your family on your terms.
Finding a rishta as Dutch Pakistanis
The Netherlands has an established Pakistani community, centred on The Hague and the Randstad, joined in recent years by students and tech professionals. Dutch-born Pakistanis often look for someone who shares both their Dutch upbringing and their faith and family values.
PakSouls lets you search in the Netherlands, nearby countries such as Belgium and Germany, and Pakistan, with filters for where someone lives and where their family is from.
Whether you live in The Hague, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Utrecht, Eindhoven or Leiden — or anywhere else in the Netherlands — you can join PakSouls free and search for a spouse there, in Pakistan, or both.
Why PakSouls

In the Netherlands and in Pakistan
Search for someone already living in the Netherlands, someone in Pakistan, or both — it’s your choice.
Before you say yes
Questions worth discussing early.
Cross-border rishtas work best when both sides are honest about the practical details from the start. Topics to raise in your first few conversations:
- Whether you will stay in the Netherlands, move elsewhere in Europe, or return to Pakistan.
- Whether you are open to a spouse from Pakistan, and what the civic integration and income requirements mean for timing.
- Learning Dutch, and work or study for a spouse who moves.
- Living with in-laws or independently, and who is responsible for which expenses.
- How both families will be involved before and after the wedding.
For more guidance, read talking about marriage expectations early and how to involve family without losing privacy.
Practical notes
Nikah, registration and visas.
In the Netherlands, only a civil marriage registered with the municipality (gemeente) is legally valid. Couples who have a nikah usually also marry civilly, or have a marriage from Pakistan registered, which often means getting Pakistani documents legalised first.
A spouse coming from Pakistan usually has to pass the civic integration exam abroad, and the sponsor has income requirements. Check the current rules with the Dutch Immigration and Naturalisation Service (IND) and take professional advice.
This is general information to help you plan, not legal or immigration advice. Never pay another member for help with a visa or sponsorship — see our Safety centre.
